Titles Are A Pain

Really, they are. I'm not even remotely good at coming up with them.
It's been an interesting week, I'm sitting here watching Manhunters while my cops run traffic and apparently hold their radio's a foot away from their mouths :).

I'm tempted to text him and say, "SPEAK UP!" Of course, 10-9ing him works just as well.

Like I said, it's been an interesting week, and since this blog is fairly public I'm not going to spill many details here. It all started Saturday when I had to fill in for one of the FFs who was pulling dispatch (being a small, rather ill managed dept, FFs work dispatch on weekend days and three days during the week).

Well, its this ill management and personality conflicts which led to the issues Sunday night. When the spouse of a firefighter goes in for surgery and they experience complications, he's just like any other concerned husband. Being a firefighter does not exempt him from this, and somehow he was expected to get over it and leave his wife in the hospital.

It's just been interesting to see how it's played out, it's become more apparent that the dispatch department needs to be put back under the management of the police dept and that actual management needs to had. I just work here, and do my job.

This becomes much more difficult because, you can only do your job when they give you the ability to do it.

On a happier note, it's been spring break, although I haven't gotten to go be bad, I do get the privilege of babysitting a Glock 31 .357 Sig for a week :))).

I slept all day, so I won't get to shoot it until I get home later this morning. BUT OH WELL!

Woo...

Loong ass night... the morning dispatcher had to rush his wife to the ER this morning, so I worked over for him till 3 this afternoon. Now, I'm back. :)

I'm not being anywhere near judgmental, but it's really hard to get coherent information from some poor sap who stutters. :(
